Bitcoin traders went into the US midterm vote on November 3 paying for protection. Four of the six most traded bitcoin options that day were puts.
Yet the top contract by volume was a $78,000 call, about 1% above the price, so the market paid for a fall and a rise at once. That leaves every bitcoin price prediction waiting on which way the count sends BTC.
Hedging eats into gains, so part of this week’s money went to an entry priced before exchanges trade it. Pepeto, a meme coin from the original Pepe’s cofounder building a zero fee exchange, has drawn over $11.2 million.
Bitcoin Price Prediction: Puts Cost More as BTC Holds $77,000
Bitcoin traded near $77,000 on November 3, and the level that decides its next direction is $79,500, about 3% higher. Closing a day above it wins back last week’s lost range. If support at $76,400, about 1% lower, gives way, the 50 week average near $75,600 comes next.
That lower zone has held: the $76,000 to $76,600 band has stopped four drops, and BTC has closed above its 50 week average seven weeks running, through the $6.3 billion Binance hack.
However, options price only about a 2.6% move across the 24 hours of the vote, against roughly 2% on a normal day. At a $1.55 trillion value, the 3% climb to $79,500 needs about $50 billion and pays the same 3% to a $1,000 holder and to a fund.
Put together, a bitcoin price prediction this week deals in single digit percentages, because BTC’s early buyers took the large gains years ago. Meme coins keep handing that first gain to whoever finds them, and Pepeto, built by the original Pepe’s cofounder, stands at that point now.
Why Buyers Put $11.2 Million Into Pepeto During Election Week
Buyers are taking a meme coin at its first price because the swings that make BTC traders hedge also make them trade more. Pepeto is that coin, an AI powered meme token sold in stages before its first listing, and it powers the exchange its team is building.

That plan has raised over $11.2 million in the weeks BTC traders paid for puts. Against the billions bitcoin needs for a few percent, that base is small, so a sum that barely registers in BTC moves Pepeto’s stage price far more.
BTC traded under $180 on January 14, 2015, in a slump most traders had stopped watching, and passed $126,000 in October 2025, paying its largest returns to the wallets that bought in that slump. Pepeto’s current stage price is $0.0000001904, and the next stage opens higher.
