It’s remarkable how dominant Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) and Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) have been over the past decade. Back in 2016, they accounted for a whopping 90% of the crypto market’s total market cap. Today, they still account for a combined 70% of the crypto market cap.
Bitcoin(CRYPTO: BTC) price staged a strong comeback after spending the past few months inside a narrow range. It jumped to $79,500, its highest level since May 15 this year. This rebound coincided with the crypto market comeback and as ETFs hitting a crucial milestone.
Prediction markets such as Kalshi and Polymarket have grown rapidly in recent years, with billions of dollars’ worth of event contracts now traded annually. Along with that rapid growth have come questions about how these markets should be regulated and taxed.
Aventus forecasts vary widely. Because AVT has a small market cap and trading volume, as of late August 2026, AVT is priced at about $0.22. According to CoinMarketCap, AVT’s circulating supply is 6 million, and its market cap is approximately $2.1 million.
July’s consumer inflation cooled to 3.4% on August 12, and producer prices came in unchanged the next day against the 0.2% rise economists expected. Cooling inflation gives the Federal Reserve room to stop raising rates, and cheaper money is what usually sends the Bitcoin price higher.

The Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) price trades near $64,800 today, roughly 49% below the record it set last October. Bitcoin briefly dropped below $60K in late June, closing at a low of $58,566 on June 30, which is its lowest in almost two years.
