Blueprint Finance Raises Strategic Funding to Scale Concrete DeFi Infrastructure

Blueprint Finance, the New York-based core developer of decentralized finance platform Concrete, has closed a strategic funding round led by Polychain Capital to expand its infrastructure for institutional on-chain asset management.

The round also included Bullish, Keyrock, BitGo, FalconX, G-20, Flowdesk, JPEG Trading, Sentient Capital, Andes and 2Square. Blueprint Finance did not disclose the amount raised or its valuation.

The financing brings together investors and strategic partners spanning venture capital, institutional trading, digital asset custody, liquidity provision and crypto infrastructure. Blueprint plans to use the capital to scale Concrete, a full-stack vault platform designed to help institutions, protocols and asset managers deploy and manage capital through on-chain investment strategies.

Concrete is targeting a shift in decentralized finance toward more structured infrastructure for professional capital allocators. Its vault architecture combines functions including trade execution, accounting, risk controls, portfolio rebalancing and protocol integrations that would otherwise need to be managed across multiple systems.

The investment thesis centers on growing institutional demand for digital asset infrastructure that offers greater operational control and transparency. While early DeFi activity often focused heavily on accessing yield opportunities, Blueprint is positioning Concrete around the requirements of professional asset managers, including auditable accounting, defined permissions, automated execution and transparent risk management.

“DeFi is moving beyond the era where capital allocation was defined by chasing the highest advertised yield,” said Nic Roberts-Huntley, CEO and co-founder of Blueprint Finance. “The next phase is about infrastructure: giving professional allocators the controls, transparency, automation, and risk management they expect while preserving everything that makes on-chain markets powerful.”

Blueprint has also been expanding Concrete’s relationships with protocols, asset issuers, blockchain networks and institutional allocators. The company is developing vaults that can support on-chain yield products while functioning as liquidity infrastructure for digital asset markets.

The strategic investor group could support that expansion beyond the capital itself. Participants operate across several parts of the institutional digital asset ecosystem, including custody, trading, liquidity and execution, potentially providing Blueprint with relationships relevant to both product development and distribution.

“Who participated in this round is as important to us as the capital itself,” Roberts-Huntley said. “Bringing that expertise into the Concrete ecosystem gives us strategic partners across liquidity, execution, custody, and distribution as we build infrastructure designed for the next generation of on-chain capital.”

Alongside its core vault technology, Blueprint is expanding the Concrete ecosystem with additional on-chain financial products, including AssetCX and concUSD. Those initiatives represent an effort to move beyond providing infrastructure for existing strategies and toward developing new assets and markets on top of the platform.

That expansion could broaden Concrete’s role within the institutional DeFi market. Rather than operating solely as a technology layer for vault creation and management, Blueprint is building toward an ecosystem in which its infrastructure can support the creation, allocation and management of a wider range of on-chain financial products.

Institutional adoption remains a central part of the company’s growth strategy. Professional allocators entering decentralized markets typically require operational capabilities beyond basic access to blockchain-based yield, particularly as portfolios become larger and strategies span multiple protocols and assets.

Blueprint is betting that infrastructure capable of consolidating those functions will become increasingly important as on-chain capital markets mature. The Polychain-led financing gives the company additional reConcrete as an infrastructure layer for institutional digital asset management
