Perplexity can draw on data spanning tokens, collectibles and NFTs across more than 25 chains.
OpenSea and Perplexity Computer are teaming up to bring real-time onchain market data into AI-powered answers, the companies announced Thursday.
The integration allows Perplexity’s AI agent to draw on OpenSea’s marketplace data to answer users’ questions about tokens, collectibles and NFTs.
The AI agent can surface the most-traded tokens, assets generating the most market activity and other onchain signals across more than 25 chains, grounding its responses in what users are actually buying and trading.
“Onchain markets are built for AI agents. Everything is open, live, and verifiable,” OpenSea CEO Devin Finzer commented on the integration. “People are already asking what’s moving onchain, and OpenSea in Perplexity Computer means those answers come straight from real marketplace activity, not from stale data or guesswork.”
With the OpenSea connector enabled, Perplexity Computer can incorporate live marketplace data into its multi-step tasks and provide cited answers. Users can ask about trading, gaining momentum or attracting collectors, and the agent can pull current signals directly from OpenSea.
“Onchain markets move too quickly for static answers,” Jeff Grimes, Head of Live Events Products at Perplexity, stated. “By bringing OpenSea’s real-time, cross-chain data into Perplexity Computer, users can ask what is moving across tokens and collectibles and get a current, cited answer grounded in actual market activity.”
The connector is available now from Perplexity Computer’s Connectors page, with additional OpenSea integrations expected as AI agents become increasingly prevalent in crypto-market discovery.
