Nostra exploit triggers asset impact and protocol risk reassessment
A significant exploit on the Starknet-based decentralized finance protocol Nostra allowed a user to siphon approximately $3.5 million after manipulating oracle prices. This incident impacted various assets connected to Starknet, including STRK and its derivatives, and prompted the Nostra team to begin a review of their collateral and oracle systems. Nostra had also recently integrated Chainlink Price Feeds for STRK and other major tokens.
Bullish momentum confirmed as STRK holds above key technical levels
STRK/USD is trading above its 20-day, 50-day, and 200-day moving averages at $0.0282, $0.0262, and $0.0336, respectively, indicating renewed bullish momentum across the short, medium, and long-term trends. Bull/Bear Power (BBP) shows buyers are in control, while the Awesome Oscillator is neutral for now. The pair is up $0.0058 or 20.86% today after an upside gap of about $0.001 (3.57%), with the price near its intraday high and volatility at 8.68%. Price action remains firm, reflecting buyers’ dominance and aligning with the generally positive momentum signals.
Earlier, analysts noted that Starknet was under sustained bearish pressure despite intermittent positive momentum signals. The current surge represents a notable shift in technical outlook, with key resistance at $0.0376 now serving as the primary level to monitor for confirmation of a continued bullish trend.
