Cosmostation, a multi-chain crypto wallet and blockchain infrastructure provider, is shutting down its Wallet service on Sept. 1, 2026, phasing out most features across its iOS app, Android app and Chrome extension, the project announced this week.
Beginning Sept. 1, users will only be able to export recovery phrases and private keys, while other wallet functions will be discontinued. Cosmostation recommends that users securely back up their recovery information before the shutdown.

Launched in 2018, Cosmostation has established itself as a major Cosmos and interchain infrastructure provider. It operates Mintscan, a prominent block explorer for Cosmos and other interchain networks.
The company developed Cosmos mobile and browser wallets, IBC-related tools and interoperability support through Axelar and Gravity Bridge. In 2024, it open-oving validator observability and reliability
As noted by the project, assets remain on their respective blockchains and can still be accessed by importing the recovery phrase or private key into another compatible wallet.
After the discontinuation is complete, users will no longer be able to access the Cosmostation Wallet applications. The company thanked users for their support and said it would continue to contribute to the blockchain and interchain ecosystem.
With its planned wallet shutdown, Cosmostation joins other crypto projects scaling back operations amid a prolonged market downturn, including Cosmos-focused Leap Wallet, which ended all of its services in May.
